Easter or First Fruits?

The name “Easter” likely comes from the Old English month Ēosturmōnaþ, named after a dawn-related goddess or the direction east, and was later applied to the Christian celebration of Jesus’ resurrection.

The traditional celebration of Easter or Ressurection Day is also a major Jewish feast. The feast of First Fruits. A celebration that occurs during Passover week. God’s provision is acknowledged by presenting the earliest portion of the harvest to Him. First Fruits.
