What Does Jesus Say?
What happens after the Rapture?
What Does the Bible say happens after the Rapture? Matt 25:10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.” So, those who are keeping watch and are ready and waiting for Him will enter the wedding banquet.
Those who are not ready will experience destruction and will not escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.”
What happens after rapture?
After the rapture, the world will experience a terrible time of tribulation. Matt 24:21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” This time of tribulation will last for 7 years. After which the Lord will return on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matt 24:30 “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
Jesus will establish His kingdom in Israel, in the beloved city, and upon the earth.
The Jewish Feast of Tabernacles looks forward to the restoration of Israel. And Kingdom blessing which happens after the rapture and after the tribulation period. This will be a thousand year period. It is called the Millennium.
In 2 Chronicles chapter 7, The dedication of the Temple is electrified by the presence of the Lord and fire comes down from heaven. The glory of the Lord fills the house. The fire shows how God is glorious but also gracious. It consumes the offering but doesn’t hurt the people. This event shows how God accepts the offering just as He accepts us via Christ’s work at the cross. The glory of the Lord points to Jesus who would one day establish all believers as priests.
2 Chronicles chapter 7 ends with a warning. If my people are chastised because of their sins it will not be good. But if they shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
We can experience the Kingdom of heaven right now because the Kingdom of God is within us. Luke 17:21 “nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” We can also look forward to the Kingdom of heaven being established on the earth and participating and serving during that time. Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection (rapture). Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
