Are You Ready For The Rapture?
Luke 12:40 says “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” This verse points to the rapture of the church. We need to be alert and watching when He (Jesus) comes. This involves the renewing of our minds. The renewing of our minds must happen on a continual basis. Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
When Jesus washed the disciple’s feet He was illustrating this idea. John 13:5-10. Peter refused and said wash all of me not just my feet. Jesus said you are already washed. You just need a small adjustment. You just need your feet washed. After we are saved we are put in right relationship with the Lord. But we get dirty because we live in a dirty world. Our minds get distracted with worldly ideas and problems. Our minds get filled with junk. So we need renewal on a daily basis. As a matter of fact Jesus went so far as to say John 13:8 “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”
We have to allow Him to wash us. This is accomplished when we reject oppressive worldly ideas and thoughts. And draw close to Him. This might need to be done 10 or 20 times a day. 2 or 3 times a day. 0 times a day depending on what is going on in your life on any one particular day.
